John Poray

John Poray graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a BS in Physical Education and a concentration of Teaching K-12.While at UI, he was a long distance runner and qualified for the NCAA Division II three times.  He was the Cross Country and Track Team Captain and was voted Team MVP.  He holds the UINDY school record in the 10000 meters.

John has continued competing in the marathon since graduation and his current goal is qualifying for the 2012 Olympic Marathon Trials.  Here are a few of his highlights for 2009:

John has been an employee of Indianapolis Public Schools since 2005.  He is currently working in Special Education at Arlington Community High School
