student-athlete-trainingLatashia Key joined Invictus Sports in 2009 and brings an array of sports marketing and management experience as well as sports programming to the organization as our Director of Indianapolis Operations.

Latashia spent the past eight years as a National Football League (NFL) Team Service Specialist for Reebok (now Sports Licensed Division of the Adidas Group).  During her tenure she was responsible for establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with the NFL equipment managers, assisting with the planning and organizing of pre-event and event activities, organizing the Reebok hospitality suite during NFL Combine and serving as co-chair on the Employee Committee and Editor of the newsletter.

Prior to her experience with the Reebok, Latashia received her Master’s in Kinesiology and worked in the fitness industry.  During this time period Latashia created and implemented several fitness programs designed for individuals of all ages.  Additionally she developed an expertise in program management, event planning and mentoring and leading staff.

Outside of her responsibilities with Invictus Sports, Latashia is very active as a volunteer for several not-for-profit organizations.  Her roles include event director for the Indiana Senior Games (ISG), open women’s and men’s chair for the Indiana Association of USA Track & Field (INUSATF), and member of three boards of director seats-ISG, INUSATF and the Ruth Lilly Health Education Center.  Latashia also teaches Pilates classes, works with the Minority Health Coalition in partnership with Operation Fit Kids.  On top of these responsibilities, Latashia has created a pilot program called F.Y.I. (Fitness for Youth with Integrity), which is a character development and fitness/sport program created for middle school aged girls.

While she is very active as an integral member of Invictus Sports and with her community service organizations, she still finds time to compete and train as a long distance track and field athlete.  Her events include the 3000m, 5000m, and Cross-country.  She has been known to jump in a 4x200 relay to help out her teammates but she promises that will not be a permanent event for her.

Latashia graduated from Morgan State University with a degree in Physical Education and received a Masters in Kinesiology from Indiana University.
